Vision
Living compassionately and prophetically towards building a just earth community.
Ven. Nano Nagle — Foundress (1718–1784)
“If I could be of any service in saving souls in any part of the globe, I would willingly do all in my power.” Ven. Nano Nagle
The North India Province of the Presentation Sisters carries a living missionary history. From Rahan, Ireland to George Town, Madras on 13 January 1842, and from Rawalpindi to Srinagar on 17 March 1936, Sisters responded with courage to invitations for education and service.
Welcomed in Kashmir by Maharaja Hari Singh, the Sisters established schools and communities that continue to liberate through education and compassionate presence. On 1 June 2015, after discernment, the Indian Unit became two provinces — North India and South India — so life and mission could flourish more fully.
